Good Law Project launches ‘Monster’ campaign in support of trans people at Pride events across the UK
Good Law Project has launched a new national campaign aimed at challenging anti-trans narratives, with a series of striking billboard artworks appearing at Trans Pride and Pride events across the UK.
The campaign, titled “Of course I support trans - I’m not a monster”, seeks to amplify what the organisation describes as the views of the “silent majority” who believe trans people should be able to live their lives free from hostility and political point-scoring.
Created in partnership with public artist Martin Firrell, known for his large-scale text-based artworks displayed on billboards around the world, the campaign features bold images of fictional monsters, including a theme park Tyrannosaurus rex, a mechanical shark and a computer-generated gorilla.

According to Good Law Project, the artworks are intended to challenge media and political narratives that portray trans people as a threat. Instead, the campaign turns that framing on its head, arguing that the real injustice lies in using trans people as a political target.
The campaign will occupy public spaces in cities across England, Scotland and Wales between July and September, with installations timed to coincide with major Pride and Trans Pride events.
Good Law Project Executive Director Jo Maugham said: “Trans people are under attack as never before, with billionaires, the media and the far right keeping up a constant stream of hate to make trans people out to be monsters.“But these artworks speak to the silent majority of British people, who reject that narrative and simply think that trans people should be left in peace to live their best lives.”

The organisation said the campaign is designed to demonstrate visible public support for trans communities and reclaim public spaces amid increasingly polarised debates around trans rights.
The ‘Monster’ campaign will appear at six Pride and Trans Pride events across the UK, beginning this week in Glasgow and Brighton before travelling to London, Manchester, Birmingham and Cardiff.
