Gay porn star Drake Von arrested on domestic violence charges in Las Vegas

Gay porn star Drake Von has been arrested in Las Vegas and charged in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident involving his partner.

The 23‑year‑old, whose real name is Dawson Bacon, was taken into custody on Tuesday 2 June, according to court records cited by US media.

He faces two felony charges - domestic battery by strangulation and coercion constituting domestic violence involving the threat or use of physical force - as well as a misdemeanour charge of domestic battery.

Police allege that Von attempted to strangle his partner at a residential property in Las Vegas. Authorities have not released further details about the incident, and no information about the alleged victim has been made public.

Von is currently being held in custody with bail set at just over $25,000 (around £19,000), according to reports.

The performer, who entered the adult industry at the age of 18, has gone on to build a large following and win a number of industry awards, including honours at the GayVN Awards.  He first rose to prominence alongside his identical twin brother, with whom he co‑created content under the name “The Baconator Twins”, before establishing a solo career.

In recent months, Von has attracted attention beyond the industry, including a viral appearance discussing his relationship with fellow adult performer Mark LAX.  He has also generated headlines for proposing a controversial stunt involving “one top versus 1,000 bottoms”, which he initially described as a joke but later suggested he was exploring further.
