Brighton & Hove Amnesty International Group will be running its first ever clothes swapping and selling event at the Unitarian Church, Brighton on Saturday, August 31 from 1pm.

Leggings, denim jackets, jumpers and jeans will be off in a variety of sizes and styles, and there will be the opportunity to learn more and support the charity’s campaign for women’s rights in Afghanistan.

Laura Hadwin, event organiser, said:

“This exciting charity event allows you to recycle your clothes and accessories while giving you the opportunity to stock up on some awesome clothes for autumn.”

For every three items you donate, you will receive a token for one free item.

If you want to make a donation, email Freya: [email protected]

Or telephone phone: 0777 292 9662

Proceeds from the event will go to Amnesty International UK.

Where: Unitarian Church, New Road, Brighton.

When: Saturday, August 31 from 1pm.

Support independent LGBTQ+ journalism

Scene was founded in Brighton in 1993, at a time when news stories about Pride protests were considered radical.

Since then, Scene has remained proudly independent, building a platform for queer voices. Every subscription helps us to report on the stories that matter to LGBTQ+ people across the UK and beyond.

Your support funds our journalists and contributes to Pride Community Foundation’s grant-making and policy work.
