Opinion: Big Brother's Philip is the worst type of gay man

It's been an interesting series of Big Brother UK. Arguably the most entertaining in a long time, and definitely the most notable. I have been a big fan of the show for as long as I can remember. The ITV era has been mostly very dry and boring, but this latest series has been a whopper with arguments and physical altercations.

But it has also shown me that gay men can be fucking awful. Philip Regan, more commonly known as internet sensation the 'Queen of Scotty Road', has hogged the limelight with his foul-mouthed rants and generally crap attitude towards people he doesn't like. He has had multiple targets including Twinks, Rob, Pauline, Yasmin and Johanne, but his brief tiff with Rochelle was very telling.

In the episode which aired on the 11th of October, he and Rochelle were sat in the bedroom talking to the chronically disinterested and 'unable to commit' Gemma Collins about Twinks. Philip was bragging about how he put her in her place when she entered the Big Brother House late.

In the conversation, Rochelle says that she felt as though Twinks was an "intruder" which led Philip to tell what appeared to be an overinflated story. "You've come into our house. Don't you fucking forget it," he supposedly said to her in a harsh tone. This prompted Rochelle to say: "You didn't fucking say it like that."
