2026 should be the year we talk about bisexual regret

As we approach Pride season, it’s natural for someone like me to reflect on where we are as a community, but more importantly, how the lives of everyday bisexual people are actually looking, and whether they’ve improved.

For me, this year holds particular meaning. It marks 10 years of bisexual activism. From writing articles and books to fiery TV debates, a number one podcast, and yes, even taking my clothes off to get the message across. I’ve put a lot of effort into changing the way people see bisexuality and how bisexual people see themselves.

One thing that has really struck me is the increasing need to talk about bisexual regret. It’s a theme that comes up repeatedly in my advice column, particularly when it comes to men.
