Sarah Shanti Yoga will be running a Queer Community Yoga Class every Tuesday (excluding Christmas & New Year’s Day) in Brighton at the Garden Studio, 7a Ship Street from 8.15–9.45pm.
The class will offer like-minded people the chance to practice yoga, recharge their batteries and reconnect with the body, in a friendly, supportive and safe space.
Whilst there are no changing facilities, a gender neutral toilet is on hand for those wishing to change.
Members should wear loose, comfortable clothes, needn’t bring shoes as mats are provided, and may pay what they like, on a sliding scale from £2-£10.
Head yoga teacher, Sarah Hebben, said:
“LGBT community members love these events and have given me great feedback. If you are worried that you might not be able to follow the class due to physical restrictions, then I am very happy to meet you before the class starts to discuss adjustments and alternatives that work for you.”

Scene was founded in Brighton in 1993, at a time when news stories about Pride protests were considered radical.
Since then, Scene has remained proudly independent, building a platform for queer voices. Every subscription helps us to report on the stories that matter to LGBTQ+ people across the UK and beyond.
Your support funds our journalists and contributes to Pride Community Foundation’s grant-making and policy work.
