Don't we all love a good love story? Trans Big Brother star Zelah Glasson has got engaged to his partner of five years, Francesca, after proposing to her at Barrier Lake in Alberta, Canada.

Glasson shared a series of photographs from the moment on Instagram, allowing us a glimpse into their very special moment and the incredible location he chose to propose. Scrolling through the comments, his caption made many people tear up.

In his post, he reflected on how he and his fiancée first met at a rugby social event, where he was dressed as a laundry basket. He said that he knew almost immediately that she would be in his life forever. Within a month of getting together, he wrote a note in his phone saying he was going to marry her.

Writing directly to Francesca, he said she had loved him through every major chapter of his life including his transition, the loss of his father, surgery, hormones and numerous career changes.

'Francesca, you have loved me as a woman; you have loved me through losing my dad; through surgery, hormones, multiple career changes and ridiculous side quests,' he wrote. 'We have travelled the world together, we have grown together and we have laughed so many times that I never need to train abs again.'

Scene readers may well remember Zelah from his appearance on Big Brother in 2025, where he was one of the series’ most talked-about housemates. We had the pleasure of meeting him ourselves at the Pride in the Square Mile event at Mansion House back in June, where he spoke warmly about visibility and community. It is wonderful to see him celebrating such a joyful milestone.

Congratulations to Zelah and Francesca.
