Over £1,700 was raised at Davina Sparkle‘s Late Birthday Cabaret Fundraiser for local HIV charity Lunch Positive at Legends Brighton last night (Sunday, November 3).
Hosted by Mary O’Kart, the event included an auction and lashings of top cabaret, including: Davina, Lovinia Belle, Cosmic, Miles Elliot, Dave Lynn, Jodie as Kylie, Allan Jay, Alfie Ordinary, Cherry Bomb, Snow White Trash and Sam Solace.
David Pollikett , aka Davina Sparkle, said on social media: “I’m astounded at such generosity and of course a big thanks to all the acts that performed for nothing giving up their time for charity.
“Massive thanks to the people who donated prizes for the auction including Substance Hastings for a very naughty adult hamper, plus Romany Mark Bruce for his limited addition artwork.
“Thanks also to the Brighton Box, the Brighton Alternative Panto, and we also had some Carry on Camping tickets, and some fabulous champagne and booze to giveaway.
“And of course a big thank you to team Legends for always coming up trumps. Lastly to my dear friends Bradley, Peter Castle and Erica Hann for everything.”
Lunch Positive added: “We’re so grateful to everyone who performed to support us, the fantastic raffle donations and everyone’s generosity. It was a truly amazing event!
“Every penny raised goes directly to prviding HIV community support. Love and thanks to everyone!”
