Mankind, is a Hove based charity that helps male victims of sexual abuse in the Brighton and Hove area who have been victims of childhood or adult abuse and assault.

Their new campaign, Squaring up to Sexual Abuse, aims to address three key questions.

They are:

• How to talk to our children about sexual abuse?

• What can we do if someone tells us that they have been/are being sexually abused?

• What should we do if we suspect sexual abuse is happening?

Mike Weatherley, the Conservative MP for Hove and Portslade, is supporting the new campaign.

He said: “Mankind is an essential local charity that works with male victims of abuse. The new campaign, Squaring up to Sexual Abuse, aims to help draw attention to sexual abuse and assault against men and certainly has my full support. As well as looking for financial support to help provide counselling services, Mankind is also hoping to challenge stereotypes and make this issue something that people feel they can openly discuss.”
