Jennifer Lopez 'in talks to headline Brighton Pride'
Brighton & Hove Pride organisers are reportedly in talks to bring Jennifer Lopez to the city next summer for what would be the global superstar’s first full UK concert in more than 15 years.
According to reports, the singer and actor has been approached to headline the annual festival, which is one of the UK's biggest LGBTQ+ events and raises money for local community groups and charities.
A source quoted by The Sun claimed discussions are underway between Pride organisers and Lopez's team, although no booking has been confirmed.
"The event gets bigger and bigger every year and organisers are in the planning stages of booking talent and have reached out to JLo's team," the source said. "Everyone is really excited to pull it off.
"She'd be a perfect headliner, they're just working out schedules."
If an agreement is reached, it would mark Lopez's first full-length UK performance since her Dance Again World Tour, which visited London's O2 Arena in 2012.
The singer headlined WorldPride in Washington DC in 2025 and has previously spoken about her close connection with LGBTQ+ fans. Speaking after that appearance, Lopez said: "The LGBTQ+ community, for me, has always been a loyal and big part of my fanbase."
Brighton & Hove Pride has built a reputation for attracting some of the world's biggest pop stars to Preston Park. Recent headliners have included Diana Ross, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears and Raye.
Earlier this year, Diana Ross and Raye topped the bill at Pride in the Park, while Girls Aloud made their only UK festival appearance of their 2024 reunion tour at the event two years earlier.
The 2027 festival is expected to take place next August, with organisers yet to announce any acts for the main Pride in the Park line-up.
