Lunch Positive, the HIV charity who provide a healthy meal every Friday for people with HIV are hosting a series of support workshops, run by the Welfare Support Coordinator from THT South during February, March and April.
2013 introduces key changes to the main benefits for sick and disabled claimants with the replacement of Disability Living Allowance (DLA) with Personal Independence Payments(PIP).
Some people will benefit from claiming DLA before it changes over. All DLA claimants will be required to undergo a new assessment under PIP during the next few years.
Universal Credit replaces most other key benefits this year, although the changes to the assessment process for sick or disabled claimants made with the introduction of Employment and Support Allowance will be transferred to Universal Credit.
These workshops offer the opportunity to keep up to date with these changes and help to complete the key claim forms for each benefit.

Since then, Scene has remained proudly independent, building a platform for queer voices. Every subscription helps us to report on the stories that matter to LGBTQ+ people across the UK and beyond.
