Animal welfare officers from Brighton & Hove City Council are appealing for help them to trace the owner of two dogs which attacked and caused dreadful injuries to a greyhound last Friday January 4 in Stanmer Woods.

The man with the two brown /tan coloured mastiff type dogs is described as late to early 40`s with short cropped hair, possibly wearing an earring and may drive a van. One of the dogs was older and the other possibly a juvenile. The attack happened at around midday.

Animal welfare officers are very keen to talk to this man and are asking anyone thinks they may know him to contact Maggi Hollands on 01273 293299.

Maggi said:

“This was a particularly nasty and vicious attack and we are keen to do everything we can to trace the owner of these dogs and prevent any further incidents.”

All calls and information will be treated in the strictest confidence.
