There will soon be large numbers of older HIV-positive gay men requiring care in the UK. Currently, very little is known about their health and care needs.
A new research study by the University of Southampton wants to discover what HIV-positive gay men aged over 65 believe they will need from health and care services in the future.
It also wants to compare the views of older HIV-positive gay men to their HIV-negative peers.
If you are a gay man aged over 65 the researcher wants to hear from you.
You will be asked to confidentially share your HIV-status and to have a one-off, hour long interview with a researcher to discuss health and social care concerns.
For more information email the researcher, Louise Kerr, on ljk2e11@soton.ac.uk
Scene was founded in Brighton in 1993, at a time when news stories about Pride protests were considered radical.
Since then, Scene has remained proudly independent, building a platform for queer voices. Every subscription helps us to report on the stories that matter to LGBTQ+ people across the UK and beyond.
Your support funds our journalists and contributes to Pride Community Foundation’s grant-making and policy work.
