Subline to hold Quiz Night for the James Ledward Memorial Fund

Subline, Brighton’s subterranean club, will be holding their monthly Quiz Night (all welcome!) on Monday, January 6 from 7pm (quiz at 8pm) with funds this month going to the James Ledward Memorial Fund, part of the Rainbow Fund and specifically ring-fenced for local homelessness charities.
Ian Andrew Sinclair will have a devilish array of questions to confound and perplex; there’ll be prepared picture and intro rounds for some relative relief; and there’ll be some halftime sandwiches to chow down on if you’re struggling to answer anything!
Entry is £2 per person (£1 of this will this month go to the James Ledward Memorial Fund), which goes into the jackpot pool – £48 is carried over from the first quiz – and the highest scoring team will again get a bottle of something bubbly and a (tough) final round to claim the cash.

Each month the quiz will also incorporate a fundraising element – last month Subline held a massive auction for THT raising £565!
This month it’ll be a raffle draw: first prize is Sunday Roast and Wine for two at the Bedford Tavern.
Event: Quiz for the James Ledward Memorial Fund
Where: Subline, 129 St James’s St, Brighton BN2 1TH
When: Monday, January 6 from 7pm with quiz at 8pm.

Support independent LGBTQ+ journalism
Scene was founded in Brighton in 1993, at a time when news stories about Pride protests were considered radical. Since then, Scene has remained proudly independent, building a platform for queer voices. Every subscription helps us to report on the stories that matter to LGBTQ+ people across the UK and beyond.
Your support funds our journalists and contributes to Pride Community Foundation’s grant-making and policy work.
