Revenge and R-Bar back Trans Pride Brighton with fundraising drive

Two of Brighton's best-known LGBTQ+ venues are raising money for Trans Pride Brighton this weekend through special events and charity drinks promotions.

Revenge will host a dedicated Trans Pride Brighton fundraiser on Saturday, 18 July, with £1 from every customer attending the venue donated to the annual Trans Pride event. A portion of sales from a range of limited-edition drinks created for the weekend will also go towards the fundraising effort.

The fundraiser will take place alongside the club's regular Confession Saturdays event, which features pop, queer pop, dance music and R&B across two floors, as well as performances from guest artists and resident entertainers.

The event is the latest in a growing number of fundraising initiatives being organised by Brighton's LGBTQ+ venues in support of Trans Pride, which returns to the city this weekend.

Meanwhile, sister venue R-Bar is continuing its year-round support for the cause through sales of its "Crash the Cis-tem" shooter. The drink is sold throughout the year, with 50p from every shot donated to Trans Pride Brighton. The venue is currently offering the shooter as part of a two-for-£7.50 promotion.

This year's Trans Pride Brighton is expected to attract thousands of people to the city, with fundraising events taking place across the weekend in venues throughout the city's LGBTQ+ quarter.
