Police are appealing for help to identify a man following a report of homophobic abuse in Brighton city centre.
The incident is reported to have taken place in Bond Street at around 8pm on Saturday 12 September.
According to Sussex Police, a man allegedly shouted homophobic abuse at a local resident before attempting to gain access to their property.
Officers have released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident as enquiries continue.
Anyone who recognises the man or has information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact Sussex Police online or by calling 101, quoting reference 1340 of 12/09.
The appeal comes as police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the reported incident.
