Ophelia Payne to host MindOut For the Laughs next month!
Brighton darling Ophelia Payne will be hosting this year's MindOut For the Laughs - a comedy fundraiser in support of LGBTQ mental health - at the Komedia on Wednesday, 15 October. Expect an eclectic mix of stand-up, drag, and sparkling performances that will leave you laughing all night long.
MindOut is a mental health service run by and for LGBTQ+ people with experience of mental health issues. The charity works to improve the mental health and wellbeing of the community by offering services like counselling, advocacy, online chats and more.
All proceeds go directly to supporting local LGBTQ+ people experiencing mental health challenges and suicidal distress.
Scene was founded in Brighton in 1993, at a time when news stories about Pride protests were considered radical.
Since then, Scene has remained proudly independent, building a platform for queer voices. Every subscription helps us to report on the stories that matter to LGBTQ+ people across the UK and beyond.
Your support funds our journalists and contributes to Pride Community Foundation’s grant-making and policy work.
