Join 201 Dance Company for a powerful celebration of Pride and Trans Joy in Brighton!

201 Dance Company is once again teaming up with Brighton & Hove Pride and Trans Pride Brighton to create a bold and beautiful dance video celebrating our vibrant queer city.

This year, as trans communities face increasing challenges, 201 Dance Company is making a powerful statement of support, strength, and defiance. With incredible trans talent already on board, they are calling on Brighton’s LGBTQ+ community and allies to come together for a spectacular finale - whether you want to dance in the final number or simply show up in solidarity.

The shoot is taking place on Sunday, 13 July at 7pm at the Royal Pavilion Gardens. If you’d like to be in the dance, you’ll also be required for one rehearsal on Sunday, 6 July a 10am at Brighton Marina Studios. Everyone welcome, no previous dance experience necessary.

The video will once again be directed and choreographed by Andrea Walker with JJ Brady returning as videographer.

Support independent LGBTQ+ journalism

Scene was founded in Brighton in 1993, at a time when news stories about Pride protests were considered radical.

Since then, Scene has remained proudly independent, building a platform for queer voices. Every subscription helps us to report on the stories that matter to LGBTQ+ people across the UK and beyond.

Your support funds our journalists and contributes to Pride Community Foundation’s grant-making and policy work.
