#DALEYPOP x April 2026

Music has been embedded in my life ever since I was in the womb, my mum and dad basically raised me on music, especially POP music! I grew up listening to Madonna, Mariah Carey, Kylie Minogue, Spice Girls, Britney Spears and even AQUA and I’ve always been obsessed with pop culture and Eurovison! I love yapping about my favourite songs and album of the month every month with the world from Scene HQ!

The Pussycat Dolls - Club Song

Omg Doll Domination has RISEN FROM THE ASHES and the universe is simply not ready. The Pussycat Dolls have officially announced their reunion but plot twist! There’s a catch. The Dolls have shapeshifted into a trio featuring Nicole Scherzinger (obviously), Kimberly Wyatt and Ashley Roberts armed with a brand new single Club Song and a global tour that is about to awaken every dormant Doll within us.

I’m actually vibrating. Me and my bestie have called each other “doll” ever since we saw them on the Doll Domination World Tour at Sandown Park Racecourse in 2009. Peak era. Peak life. Peak everything. And yes, “doll” is now also an affectionate term in trans communities and I'm sure the Dolls would approve. The dĂ©jĂ  vu is real though because it feels like 2020 all over again, when the Dolls reunited for React (still a banger) and announced a tour
.until COVID said “absolutely not.”

Then came the drama: Jessica Sutta and Carmit Bachar revealed they only learned about the cancellation of the tour from Nicole’s social media post and were “disappointed” with how it was handled. And now
.they’re not part of the 2026 reunion. Eeeeeep! I did feel awks for Nicole glitching on the Today Show too though when Craig Melvin asked about the group now being a trio. I still love her but yeah! Club Song is produced by Mike Sabath and to celebrate the resurrection, the trio is launching the 53 date PCD Forever Tour with Lil’ Kim and Mya joining select shows.

The first leg kicks off in June at Palm Desert’s Acrisure Arena then straight to West Hollywood for the Outloud Music Festival. From there, the Dolls will head to Phoenix, Tampa and Madison Square Garden get their turn before the US finale in Dallas this August. Then the Dolls cross the ocean, hitting Copenhagen in September and sweeping through Europe and the UK before the grand finale at London’s O2 Arena in October. I. Can’t. Cope.

There's a Pussycat Doll in all of us!

Alok, Khalid - Dive Into Me

Global dance floor deity Alok Achkar Peres Petrillo aka Alok to the world but crush of the day to me, has joined forces with multi platinum, GRAMMY‑nominated velvet voiced heart melter Khalid Donnel Robinson aka Khalid to the world (crush of the day tomorrow to me) for a collab that feels like sunlight hitting water at the perfect angle.

Their new single Dive Into Me is a radiant, hypnotic and effortlessly cool track, in that “I didn’t even try I just am the moment” kind of way. It’s their first time teaming up and the track samples the iconic synth melody from Fatima Yamaha’s 2004 cult classic What’s a Girl To Do but instead of leaning on nostalgia they've spinned it into something sleek, modern and emotionally charged. It’s a bop but it’s also understated, stylish and surprisingly tender IMPO.

Alok said in a press statement, “When I heard Dive Into Me for the first time, I knew we had something special. It’s about loneliness, about wanting something real, and asking someone to stay. Having Khalid on this release makes it even more special, because he brings truth to every word, and the collaboration came together very naturally.” You really can hear that natural chemistry, the track feels like two artists meeting in the same emotional wavelength and deciding to build a world there.

Anne Hathaway - Burial (from Mother Mary)

THE Anne Hathaway is stepping into her pop star era! Debuting her alter ego, her diva avatar, her full blown sonic metamorphosis: Mother Mary. Andrea Sachs oooops I mean Anne (IYKYK) has released Burial, a euphoric, hypnotic, cinematic first taste of A24’s upcoming psychological thriller Mother Mary. I can already feel the future camp cult classic energy radiating off both the song and the movie trailer.

Wait speaking of camp classics
.The Devil Wears Prada 2 hits cinemas next month (1 May). The gays, the girls and the theys are getting FED. Back to Burial though! The track is no novelty film soundtrack, it’s a serious pop moment if you ask me. Co‑written by Anne herself alongside Jack Antonoff, Charli xcx and George Daniel, it’s the first single taken from the Mother Mary: Greatest Hits soundtrack, arriving 17 April.

Who knew Annie would be coming for the main pop girl crown in 2026? She didn’t just dabble, she devoured.

Burial gives me Ukraine or Serbia Eurovision drama, or Gaga Mayhem theatricality in the best possible way. I might be spiralling, but
.is it too early to whisper Best Original Song contender at the Oscars next year?

The movie itself is directed by David Lowery and is being described as a psychosexual pop opera (already obsessed) starring Anne, Michaela Coel, Hunter Schafer and FKA twigs! A lineup so powerful it could bend light. It hits cinemas 24 April, and if the music is any indication then we’re about to witness something gloriously unhinged, stylish and unforgettable. Hopefully.

BTS - Swim

Last year I finally entered my full K‑pop era and I just want to know why did no one drag me in sooner? A whole new universe of music, visuals, lore and choreography has opened up and I’m diving in head first like it’s my new personality.

To be fair, I’ve always loved BLACKPINK but now the floodgates are open because BTS are officially back with their brand new album Arirang and I am feral. The lead single SWIM is not only the first official taste of the album, it’s also my favourite track. It’s giving emotional depth, cinematic production and that signature BTS ability to make you feel like you’re floating and sprinting at the same time.

The official music video for SWIM was filmed against the sweeping ocean backdrop of Lisbon in Portugal and places all seven members Kim Nam-joon (RM), Min Yoon-gi (Suga), Jung Ho-seok (J-Hope), Kim Seok-jin (Jin), Jeon Jung-kook (Jung Kook), Kim Tae-hyung (V), Park Ji-min (Jimin) aboard a weathered sailing ship, moving through crashing waves and open sky like they’re navigating their own rebirth.

The imagery feels mythic, almost ritualistic actually, as if the group is charting a course back to themselves after years apart. RM, who led the songwriting for SWIM explained the emotional core of the track: “I wrote the lyrics and I tried to express the confusion that we all had before and after the military
and we want to just keep swimming.” It’s a simple line, but it hits hard-a metaphor for endurance, identity and the quiet determination that defines this new chapter of BTS.

Juanpa Gordoa - OTRO LOSER

I don’t speak Mexican Spanish and I’m barely on TikTok, like once a week maximum (self preservation because if I went on more I’d never return to real life). But somehow the algorithm still delivered Juanpa Gordoa to me and thank god it did because OTRO LOSER is a vibe.

OTRO LOSER translates to ANOTHER LOSER and the song lives in that space between frustration and emotional introspection. The kind of temporary almost relationships that leave you with more questions than answers.

The production wraps the whole thing in a hazy, nostalgic glow. The instrumental feels like vague memories you can’t fully grasp. Soft melancholy, late night reflection, a little sting of regret. It’s understated but emotionally sharp which is exactly why I love it (even though I don't speak Mexican Spanish).

Oooooh maybe if Juanpa's reading this, he'll be inspired to record an English version for us?! OTRO LOSER stood out to me though because it’s honest, relatable and emotionally clear and the kind of track that hits especially hard if you’ve ever been stuck in that same story.

Milky - Just The Way You Are

Do-do-do do-do-do-do do! The sound of summer 2002 has officially risen from the pop culture graveyard and strutted straight back into 2026. Just The Way You Are is that boppy, bubbly, irresistibly repetitive anthem and is having an unexpected (but deeply deserved) resurgence, proving once again that we are all slaves to nostalgia and Y2K vibes. 14/15 year old me used to blast this song and it annoyed my mum so much hehehe and now I'm blasting it all over again.

Milky aka Italian producers Giordano Trivellato and Giuliano Sacchetto are the masterminds behind the track. They recruited singer Giuditta Gazza to give their songs that soft, airy vocal glow for their one and only album Star but in true chaotic 2000s fashion, the face of the band wasn’t Giuditta at all, what the helly?!

It was Egyptian born, German raised model Sabrina Elahl, chosen purely for the image the producers wanted. Wild. But now we're in 2026 and the song is back in the UK Official Singles Chart reclaiming its rightful place in pop history. (It originally peaked at number 8 in 2002 btw). Milky are, quite literally, milking it, teaming up with Australian dance legends PNAU for a fresh 2026 version of the timeless hit.

As Madonna said, music makes the people come together.

Paris Jackson - Zombies in Love

Paris Jackson, the only daughter of pop icon Michael Jackson has been quietly crafting the follow up to her 2020 debut Wilted for years now and now she’s finally emerged with Zombies In Love.

A hauntingly gorgeous track that blends alternative pop with her signature raw nerve emotion. It’s the first glimpse of what’s assumed (and very much hoped) to be her second album and it arrives drenched in darkness, dreaminess and a strangely tender romantic edge.

Created in collaboration with singer songwriter and producer Linda Perry, the song leans into Paris’s talent for storytelling. The kind that feels confessional, bruised and beautifully human. Zombies In Love moves like a slow exhale, exploring the messy overlap between longing, self destruction and connection.

Paris summed it up in the most Paris way possible: “It’s kind of about, well, what all of my songs are about, which is either like drugs or boys or in this case, both.” It’s blunt and honest and it tells you everything you need to know about the emotional terrain she’s walking into with this new era. If Zombies In Love is the opening chapter, the rest of the project is going to be something special.

LeAnn Rimes - Wild Things Run

Omg LeAnn Rimes is back and the world feels a little more right because of it. One of the most extraordinary voices of her generation has released Wild Things Run and it's a sweeping, cinematic ballad basically inspired by her character on the hit series 9‑1‑1: Nashville.

LeAnn described Wild Things Run as a Roy Orbison style ballad, drenched in drama and cinematic passion. Lyrically, it captures the fire of youth. That restless spark of becoming and wanting more, of running toward something you can’t quite name yet. I remember that feeling!

In the show, the song begins stripped back, reflecting a young, unpolished Dixie Bennings just starting out as a songwriter. By the end of the episode, it blossoms into a fully produced track, mirroring the moment Dixie is discovered. It’s storytelling through sound and now this song has cracked something open creatively for LeAnn YAY! She even hinted on TikTok that Wild Things Run might lead her straight into another studio album.

The Can’t Fight the Moonlight legend stepping back into the spotlight feels like a warm wave of nostalgia for us who grew up with her voice and a thrilling new chapter for longtime fans who’ve been waiting (impatiently) for this moment. Fingers and toes xd.

AOTM: Loreen

WILDFIRE

Our mother of spiritual pop and two time Swedish Eurovision conqueror Loreen has finally unleashed WILDFIRE. Nearly a decade after Ride (yes 2017 was THAT long ago), she returns with an album so blisteringly alive and spiritually supercharged. WILDFIRE is a full body journey across the emotional spectrum: despair, fury, sensuality, liberation and rebirth. Thirteen tracks, each one a spark, together forming a blaze.

Yesss her 2023 Eurovision winning hit and global phenomenon Tattoo (which topped charts in more than ten countries-woah) is included (thank godddddd) and fan fave Is It Love. Not gonna lie though, I'm still mourning the absence of Forever, Warning Signs, and Gravity. Will I survive because they’re still streamable? Barely. But still. A mother tests us.

Among the new offerings is the celestial Feels Like Heaven co-written with SiaJesse ShatkinCalum Landau and Loreen herself. A dream team forging a sound rooted in her nomadic heritage and sculpted through global electronic pop. The track arrives with a lush, high‑budget video too which I keep rewatching!

Loreen describes Feels Like Heaven as an exploration of surrender, not as weakness but as liberation. “Heaven isn’t a place,” she says. “It’s an inner state
We suffer when we resist, and we heal when we surrender.” It’s Loreen at her most philosophical, her most elemental, basically her most Loreen.

Nomadic influences are rising across Western pop. TikTok, Eurovision and a new generation of global artists are dissolving borders in real time but Loreen is leading the charge. Is It Love pulses with her Moroccan Amazigh roots, you can feel the desert wind in the production, right?!

Speaking about the WILDFIRE album, Loreen says: “This album is about truth
facing the chaos, the destruction, and understanding that all of it has purpose.” It’s an album built on vulnerability and rebirth, a decade of evolution distilled into one spiritual pop odyssey.

At its core, WILDFIRE is a genre‑fluid voyage: emotive ballads, cinematic electronics, euphoric peaks. Where Do We Go From Here? aches with introspection; Can’t Pull Me Down reverberates like a neon storm; Melt throbs with impulsive, impassioned heat.

The album’s final stretch blooms into self‑acceptance. Lose That Light, featuring R&B heavyweight 6lack drifts into cosmic surrender. Kiss the Sky and True Love (co‑written with Ólafur Arnalds) close the album with clarity, conviction and the sense of an artist who has burned, transformed and risen.

With WILDFIRE, Loreen invites us into a sanctuary of reflection, intuition and emotional release. In a world drowning in noise, she offers a return to inner truth. She remains one of modern pop’s most spiritually charged, emotionally fearless voices and lest we forget, the first woman (and only the second person ever) to win Eurovision twice, just saying.

Oh and my favourite tracks are Feels Like Heaven, Set Me Free, Melt, Can't Pull Me Down, True Love, Is It Love, Tattoo, Wildfire, Kiss The Sky, Coming Close,Where Do We Go From Here, Weapons and Lose That Light so....all of them! Oh and good news: Loreen has also announced the Wildfire Tour YAY, spanning seven countries including the UK, Ireland, Germany, Belgium, France, Poland and the Netherlands.

"We’ve built this tour to bring people into my world, somewhere you can lose yourself for a while. I’m hoping to awaken something inside of you that is real."

The Wildfire Tour opens at the National Stadium in Dublin in September before igniting Glasgow, Manchester, London and the rest of Europe ending at Amsterdam’s iconic Paradiso. I saw her in Dublin last year and it was the most euphoric night ever. I’m ready to ascend again.
