Brighton LGBTQ+ venues to support Trans Pride Brighton

Brighton's LGBTQ+ community is coming together in support of Trans Pride Brighton, with venues, including Charles Street Tap and Legends Brighton, hosting fundraising events and entertainment programmes ahead of the city's Trans Pride on Saturday, 18 July.

Charles Street Tap and Legends Brighton are among the venues backing Trans Pride Brighton, helping to raise funds and provide platforms for performers, activists and community members in the lead-up to one of the world's largest trans-led Pride events.

On Sunday, 19 July, Charles Street Tap on Marine Parade will host a dedicated Trans Pride Fundraiser, featuring cabaret performances from Carmel Fleur and Ophelia Payne, hosted by Sally Vate. The evening will include a raffle and fundraising activities, with proceeds going directly to Trans Pride Brighton.

Meanwhile, nearby venue Legends Brighton has unveiled a three-day entertainment programme for Trans Pride weekend, featuring a host of drag and cabaret performers.

The seafront venue will kick off events on Friday, 17 July with acclaimed performer Billie Gold, followed by Portia n Pals – Episode 7 on Saturday, 18 July featuring special guest Amy LaQueefa. Sunday's programme includes appearances from cabaret favourites Miss Lola Lasagne and Dawn the Drag Queen, and a closing performance from Sam Solace.

Legends said the line-up had been created to complement the city's Trans Pride celebrations and provide a welcoming space for people attending events throughout the weekend.
