Brighton Kemptown MP supports Defibrilator Initiative

Simon Kirby, MP for Brighton Kemptown, backs move to convert a soon-to-be-removed phone box in Ovingdean into a Defibrillator phone box.

The initiative comes from Ovingdean resident, Joanna Goddard, who learned that the phone box, outside the Ovingdean Village Stores, is to be removed in August.
Defibrillator phone boxes are a new idea but having such emergency equipment close to hand can really save lives.
Simon said: “I believe this is a valuable and important initiative and I am very happy indeed to support it. The proposal will make available close-at-hand emergency equipment which may save vital seconds in helping someone in medical distress. I wish the campaigners well in their work on this issue.”
