Representatives from voluntary sector organisations protested outside Hove Town Hall last night, Thursday, February 27.

The rally had been called by Community Works the local umbrella for over 350 charities and voluntary groups to highlight the negative impact of the 2014/5 City Council budget proposals on local voluntary sector organisations.

Elected LGBT Community Works representatives Gary Pargeter and Chris Cooke and the elected chair of the LGBT Community Safety Forum, Billie Lewis attended to show their support for all voluntary sector organisations across the city.
Protestors lobbied councillors of all parties as they arrived for the 2014-15 council budget debate.
