King Charles at Congress: brilliant diplomacy, barely disguised politics

On Tuesday 28 April, King Charles III became only the second British monarch in history to address a joint session of the United States Congress, following his mother Queen Elizabeth in 1991. He could have played it safe and served the politically neutral juice that is expected of monarchs. He didn't...

"America's words carry weight and meaning", he concluded, tearing into the US administration's uncontrollable rants, foul language and aggressive online posts. This barely veiled attack on the rhetoric emanating from the US caused senators and members of Congress to gasp audibly.
