Lunch Positive, the weekly HIV lunch club provided entirely by volunteers, has been entered into a competition to win up to £3,000.

Lloyds Bank South Brighton Area have selected four local charities in the area from a total of over 300 for the competition. Each will win a financial reward, depending on their number of votes. Other charities in the competition are Rockinghorse Children’s Appeal, Adventure Unlimited and Grassroots Suicide Prevention.

Gary Pargeter, Lunch Positive’s Volunteer Project Manager: “We’re incredibly pleased to have been entered in the competition and hope everyone who supports our work in helping people with HIV will vote for us. Having just celebrated our 5th birthday, our charity is now looking to the future to develop new services and to reach greater numbers of people who have very challenging lives. The money raised through this competition will help provide the lunch club and kick-start the development of some of our plans. Please help us do this by giving your vote – it’s very quick and easy!”
Voting closes on October 10.
