LGBT+ History Month event: Britain on Film: LGBT Britain @ The Keep

To mark LGBT+ History Month, The Keep in Brighton will be screening a moving collection of LGBTQ+ films dating from 1909-1994 on Saturday, February 29 from 1.30pm.

Documenting a century of profound change, the screening includes some of the earliest representations of LGBTQ+ people on screen and features collective public activism and the fight for equal rights as well as more personal experiences. A selection of relevant original material from The Keep’s archives will be on display from 1pm on the day of the screening.

This film, which is made possible by BFI‘s Film Audience Network, with the support of the National Lottery, contains a sequence of flashing lights which might affect customers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
Event: Britain on Film: LGBT Britain.
When: Saturday, February 29 from 1.30pm (film duration: 85 minutes).
Where: The Keep, Woollards Way, Brighton, BN1 9BP.
