Brighton has long had a voice. Several, in fact. The city’s LGBTQ+ choral scene is one of its quieter cultural glories. Not flashy, not fleeting, but year after year, filling churches and concert halls with something that feels genuinely communal. With the announcement last year that Brighton & Hove will host Various Voices 2030, those voices are about to get a whole lot louder..

Every four years, Various Voices, the European LGBTQ+ Choir festival transforms a European city into a vibrant, musical playground. Hundreds of queer choirs from across Europe, and beyond, come together to sing, celebrate and raise their voices for equality.
