25 pop songs from 2000 you totally forgot you were obsessed with

Since I celebrated my birthday at the weekend, I thought I'd take a moment to let this little fact sink in-2000 was 25 years ago.🤯Wild, right?!

I was in year 7 shuffling through secondary school with my ridiculously short tie (seriously why was that a thing though?!). It feels like a lifetime ago and back then if a song was 25 years old, it was from 1975-WILD!

I looked forward to Top of the Pops every Friday night and CD:UK (which I've only just found out at 37 years old stood for CountDown:United Kingdom-ohhhhh-who knew?!) on the Saturday morning. You honestly had to be there to 100% get it.

If you're craving a time-travel like me, here are 25 tracks are 25 years old in 2025.

1.Britney Spears - Oops!...I Did it Again

2.Geri Halliwell - Bag It Up

3.Mya - Case of the Ex

4.Billie Piper - Day And Night

5.Melanie C - I Turn To You

6.All Saints - Pure Shores

7.Pink - Most Girls

Pink’s early R&B era deserves way more credit than it gets and that muscley guy playing the the cello contributed to my gay awakening.👀

8.True Steppers and Dane Bowers featuring Victoria Beckham - Out of Your Mind

9.Anastacia - I'm Outta Love

10.Aqua - Cartoons Heroes

11.Moloko - The Time Is Now

12.Limp Bizkit - Rollin'

13.Samantha Mumba - Gotta Tell You

14.Daphne and Celeste - U.G.L.Y.

15.Architechs featuring Nana - Body Groove

16.LeAnn Rimes - Can't Fight the Moonlight

17.Nelly Furtardo - I'm Like A Bird

18.Kylie Minogue - Spnning Around

19.Modjo - Lady (Hear me Tonight)

20.Jennifer Lopez - Love Don't Cost a Thing

21.Sugababes - Overload

22.Destiny's Child - Independent Women Part I

23.Crazy Town - Butterfly

24.Mary Mary - Shackles (Praise You)
