The event, on Thursday, July 28, will be an evening of poetry readings hosted by Jacob Sam-La Rose and featuring Barbican Young Poets Simran Uppal, mandisa apena and Jinhao Xie, to celebrate the new poetry anthology ‘Articulations for Keeping the Light In’
Join flipped eye publishing Senior Editor and Barbican Young Poets course leader Jacob Sam-La Rose – and poets Simran Uppal, mandisa and Jinhao Xie – for an evening of poetry and conversation at London’s inclusive, intersectional bookshop Common Press on Thursday, July 28 from 7.45pm.
For more than a decade, the Barbican Young Poets programme has served as a base for experimentation, creative development and an ever-extending community of poetic practice. Inaugurating a collaboration between Barbican Young Poets and flipped eye publishing, the anthology Articulations for Keeping the Light In collects and celebrates work produced by poets of the 2022 cohort, including Simran Uppal, mandisa apena and Jinhao Xie.
Copies of the book will be available to buy on the night.
