Over 300 portraits from Chris Jepson’s ‘The Identity Project’ now on show at Barbican Centre

Photographer Chris Jepson has announced a new exhibition of The Identity Project, which explores what it means to identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community today.

Located in the foyer of the Barbican Library in London’s iconic Barbican Centre, Chris has installed over 300 portraits – his biggest installation to date – in a 2m x 1m glass vitrine – his smallest space to date.

Free hanging on rainbow ribbons, visitors can view the portraits from all directions and look through the multiple layers of the LGBTQ+ community, then scan the QR code to find out more.

The installation is part of the Re:Framed exhibition by the City of London and Cripplegate Photographic Society, and is open October 4-26 during normal library hours – check website.
