Warwickshire Pride has received a £12,500 donation from CharityJob as part of its annual commitment to give back to the sector.

The donation will be used to provide support to LGBTQ+ people seeking asylum, who have been placed in Warwickshire and require support relating to being LGBTQ+ and going through the asylum process.

CharityJob, a charity job board, awarded four small charities a share of £70,000. Eligibility criteria this year included being a UK-based charity with 50 or fewer employees, having an income of less than £1 million and being registered for more than one year with published accounts.

Warwickshire Pride was selected from more than 1,000 organisations to receive an award.

“We feel incredibly privileged to support such meaningful organisations. This opportunity is made possible thanks to the recruiters who advertise with us and their support directly fuels our ability to give back to the sector we love,” says Raya Wexler, co-founder of CharityJob and CharityConnect.

Daniel Browne, Chair of Warwickshire Pride, said: "Receiving the phone call to say we had been awarded a donation was a big surprise. I thought little Warwickshire Pride would never be chosen when there must have been so many worthwile charities who applied.

"Being chosen is testament to the work of Warwickshire Pride and the fantastic team of trustees, staff, and volunteers who keep everything running for the benefit of LGBTQ+ people across Warwickshire.

"The donation will help us to support LGBTQ+ people seeking asylum, ensuring they receive the right type of support at the right time, and feel as safe and welcome as possible."

CharityJob was founded by Steve and Raya Wexler in February 2000 to help align inspiring non-profit organisations with the brightest talent.
