Brighton Book Festival's mission is to promote access to diverse literature, widen participation in cultural events and improve representation. The vast majority of the authors selected for the programme have experienced forms of marginalisation and many of the brilliant speakers are local to Brighton.
The festival will host over 21 events, online and in central Brighton from Wednesday, 18 June to Sunday, 22 June. Events include panel discussions, theatre performances, writing workshops, family festivals, poetry, theatre, music and more.
Award-winning writers from across the UK will be speaking including Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamimu, Patterson Joseph, Dr Nussaibah Younis, Mikaela Loch, Paula Sutton, Aflo.thepoet and many more.
