Global superstar Mariah Carey was greeted by a throng of adoring fans outside her luxury London hotel on Wednesday, following her arrival in the UK to headline Brighton & Hove Pride 2025.
The 56-year-old music icon was the picture of effortless glamour, donning knitted Dior jumper, paired with sleek black leggings and chunky boots. She completed the look with oversized sunglasses and her signature caramel waves cascading over her shoulders, as she was ushered through the crowd by her entourage.
Carey is set to take centre stage at Pride in the Park on Saturday, 2 August, the flagship event of Brighton & Hove Pride. She’ll be joined by a stellar line-up including two-time Eurovision winner Loreen, Sugababes, and UK pop legend Sonia. This marks a long-awaited return for Carey, who was originally scheduled to perform at the 2020 edition of the festival before it was cancelled due to the Covid pandemic.
Brighton & Hove Pride is one of the UK’s biggest Pride celebrations, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors to the vibrant seaside city. The event is renowned not only for its world-class entertainment but also for its strong message of equality, inclusion, and LGBTQ+ rights.
In a video message shared by Brighton Pride, Carey said: “Let’s make history together, darlings! See you at Pride in the Park 2025.”
The performance is part of a series of shows celebrating the 20th anniversary of her landmark album The Emancipation of Mimi, which includes hits like We Belong Together.
Her new album, Here For It All, will be released in September.
