Katie Price has pulled out of her scheduled headline performance at the official Milton Keynes Pride Festival afterparty, prompting disappointment and backlash from organisers and fans alike.

The Milton Keynes Pride Festival team released a statement confirming that Price’s management had informed them she would not be honouring her booking, despite repeated attempts to confirm her appearance. The decision was made at short notice and, according to organisers, was “entirely outside of our control.”

“Milton Keynes Pride Festival is a not-for-profit organisation. The official afterparty was booked and promoted as a fundraising event, with Katie Price contracted as the headline performer,” the statement read. “Despite repeated attempts of contact to fulfil this agreement, her management has confirmed she will not be honouring her booking.”

The organisers emphasised their commitment to transparency and expressed regret over the situation, noting that the community has consistently supported Price in the past. They added: “Much has already been reported in the media about Ms Price’s approach to her professional commitments. While our community has consistently supported her, it is deeply regrettable that this support has not been reciprocated. Choosing not to meet her obligations to a charitable Pride event demonstrates a lack of accountability and professionalism, and we share in the community’s disappointment.”

This marks the third Pride event Price has withdrawn from in recent months, following similar cancellations at Glasgow Pride and Barnsley Pride. Fans have taken to social media to voice their frustration, with many questioning her reliability for future bookings.

Despite the setback, Milton Keynes Pride Festival confirmed that the afterparty will still go ahead at Pink Punters, with a replacement act currently being arranged. Ticket holders are encouraged to retain their tickets to support the free-to-attend main festival, though refunds will be offered for those who request them.

Dedicated coaches from Campbell Park to Pink Punters will still operate as planned, ensuring the community can continue celebrating together. “Despite this situation being entirely outside of our control, Milton Keynes Pride remains, as always, fully committed to delivering an inclusive, safe, and unforgettable celebration for our community,” the statement concluded.
