In her acceptance speech, Katie delivered a “hard-hitting” message about the challenges facing trans+ people in the UK today. Katie added: "I was bowled over by the response from the audience though, as I got a standing ovation!"

Founded by Katie in 2019, Cool2BTrans is a pioneering platform that supports and empowers transgender people while educating the wider public. Through training sessions, media work, and personal storytelling, Katie aims to show that being trans is not only okay - it’s something to be proud of.
