Good Law Project has intensified its campaign against TalkTV, accusing the broadcaster of repeatedly violating UK broadcasting laws by airing what it describes as “a torrent of transphobic hate”. The legal advocacy group is now calling on Ofcom to take decisive action to curb what it sees as a pattern of harmful and unchallenged anti-trans rhetoric.

In a statement, Good Law Project claimed that TalkTV has been “breaking broadcasting law” by allowing anti-trans views to be aired without adequate editorial challenge or balance. “The rightwing channel keeps broadcasting anti-trans views with nobody in the studio to push back,” the group said, adding that such content contributes to a hostile environment for trans people.

The campaign, which has gained traction across social media, urges supporters to pressure Ofcom into launching a formal investigation and potentially revoking TalkTV’s broadcasting licence if breaches are confirmed. The Good Law Project argues that the broadcaster’s conduct not only undermines journalistic standards but also endangers the safety and dignity of trans individuals in the UK.

This latest move follows a broader wave of legal and public advocacy efforts aimed at defending trans rights in the wake of controversial legal rulings and public discourse. Gender equality campaigner Patsy Stevenson recently redirected legal funds to the Good Law Project to support its work on trans issues, stating that “women’s and transgender rights are not mutually exclusive”.

TalkTV has yet to respond publicly to the allegations. Ofcom, meanwhile, has acknowledged receipt of complaints but has not confirmed whether a formal investigation is underway.
