For the second year in a row the queens from Drag Bus took part in Pride in London and wowed the crowds with their message of ‘love, respect and equality’.
Drag Bus, which was launched in Brighton two years ago has since expanded to London and Bournemouth, with Belfast, Bristol, Essex and Liverpool services launching soon. Queens from each of the cities came together to walk with Pride, including Cherry Bomb, Shallow Vera, Didi Deville, Ruby Violet and Rubella Vaxine.

After a grey and damp start, the day cleared up and the Drag Bus rolled through London on the largest Pride event to date. Whilst there was a party atmosphere there was also a real sense of returning to the essence of Pride, delivering a message that rights will be fought for.
The queens were joined again by Queen of Hi-NRG and Pride veteran Hazell Dean, who reminded people that Pride was and is a protest and we must all stand together to fight for equality for the whole LGBTQ+ community.

Kevin, founder of Drag Bus, stated “Pride in London is very special to me, having been my first when I moved here some decades ago. It will always hold a place in my heart. To now be part of it is something special, particularly this year when we saw so many people delivering a very clear message of community.
"From a personal point of view hearing a large group of people chanting “Drag Bus” as we passed The Ritz, who turned out to have been passengers on the London tour was a special moment. For an idea that started so small two years ago in Brighton it gave me goosebumps and certainly was a joyous moment, and when I saw the reaction to our fabulous queens I was incredibly proud”
Drag Bus has the day documented on their social media channels @dragbusuk and website.
