Delta Goodrem has unleashed a new music video for her latest single Hearts On The Run. Set on a high-speed racetrack, the video features Delta draped in sequins and race-ready leather, creating an ensemble of classic Goodrem style glamour. Delta runs carefree through the night with the racetrack lights shining upon her, commanding every scene and encapsulating the feel-good energy of the track which revolves around chasing the highs of love.
With an instantly energetic beat that is rooted in the vibrant sounds of the ’80s, Hearts On The Run is a behemoth, hook-driven anthem, which follows last summer’s smash Back to Your Heart.
Delta explains, “I wrote Hearts On The Run as a message that it’s possible to tap into an unyielding positivity. I wanted to create a high energy feeling with so much momentum, that you can’t help but run. That feeling when you’re in the middle of a marathon, when your legs ache, when your breath is running out, and you question how much further you can go…
“It’s precisely in that moment that the song insists you can go further, driven by a combination of love and an unbreakable spirit. The song urges you to discover what you’re truly made of by pushing your own boundaries. This song was made to make me run! Your heart is on the run!”
A long-standing queer icon and ally, Delta is also looking ahead to summer and has announced a main-stage performance at Mighty Hoopla in June.
