Celebrate the queer community with Queer Across America– a YouTube travel series exploring queer areas in each state.
"Whether it’s a gay rodeo in Arizona, the oldest active drag queen in Oregon, a trans pilgrimage in Nebraska, Pride in New York, or an LGBTQ+ church in Salem--there’s a queer community for you!"
Queer Across America is an ongoing journey that began in 2020 when creator London Alexander started travelling around North America to prove that, wherever you are, there’s a queer community close by.
For its five-year anniversary, Queer Across America has been revamped with higher quality filming, an expansive array of states being visited, and a new digital community element that includes Discord and Patreon so viewers can join the journey!

Each episode highlights a city where London visits local queer-owned shops, explores the queer culture specific to the area like drag shows and other events, and learns about local queer history.
Unlike typical travel series, Queer Across America isn’t about first-class travel, VIP areas, or trying to sell an upscale lifestyle. Instead, it’s a raw, DIY presentation of a solo queer traveller battling the anxiety of being on the road, pushing through the fear of conservative areas, and facing the struggles of life on the road in order to find LGBTQ+ communities.
“This adventure has not been easy,” London Alexander says. “I’ve ended up in the emergency room in rural New Mexico. I’ve had panic attacks on lone highways in Louisiana. It’s rough being alone, but then I find the queer communities and feel safe again.” Each episode presents local queer-made products, resources, a map of queer-owned businesses and LGBTQ+ centres, and links to upcoming events.

"The goals of the series include helping to end prejudice within LGBTQ+ communities by highlighting the different needs from city to city, raising awareness about queer communities being everywhere, and providing resources to those that may not otherwise have access.
“The road can be lonely, but being able to connect with people watching my videos on YouTube and hanging out on Discord makes me feel like there’s so many people on this journey with me.”
Queer Across America is for those that enjoy traveling through storytelling, those that want to explore the different ways to be queer, and those looking to be a part of a digital community. Queer Across America is the ultimate road trip showing that, wherever you are, there’s a queer community for you.
