TransSober seeks donations

TransSober, the drug and alcohol community peer support group for trans and non-binary communities, is seeking donations for new wellbeing recovery bags to give to people who attend its peer support group or use its services.

Vernon at TransSober says: “We need toiletries, soap bars, bath bombs, healthy snacks, chocolate, adults colouring books & pencils, herbal teas, socks… Anything to aid recovery; something to do other than taking drugs and alcohol goes a long way when you’re in recovery.”

If you are or know of a business that can help, email Vernon on info@transsober.org

TransSober is a new peer support drop-in for the the TNBI community by the TNBI community. It’s open to all from the community who feel they would benefit from attending a support group around drug and alcohol use or feels it would benefit them to continue to live their life without drugs and alcohol. All facilitators have genuine life experiences, are part of the community, and proud to say we now all live an alcohol and drug free life.

Support independent LGBTQ+ journalism

Scene was founded in Brighton in 1993, at a time when news stories about Pride protests were considered radical.

Since then, Scene has remained proudly independent, building a platform for queer voices. Every subscription helps us to report on the stories that matter to LGBTQ+ people across the UK and beyond.

Your support funds our journalists and contributes to Pride Community Foundation’s grant-making and policy work.
