Trans charity Clare Project is to host a Pizza and Paperwork community event at Community Base, Brighton on Tuesday, July 9.

If you’re being seen by the Sussex Gender Service, join Care Navigators Robin and Sam for an evening dedicated to doing life admin, fuelled by pizza, including vegan and gluten-free options. Anything from writing a deed poll or applying for a Gender Recognition Certificate, to preparing a CV or renewing a passport or driving licence.

The event will be held from 6 – 8pm on Tuesday, July 9 at Southwing Room 3, Community Base, Brighton BN1 3XG. The space is accessible to wheelchair users but unfortunately cannot accommodate mobility scooters. There will be a laptop available for people to use but you’re encouraged to take one if possible. Paper copies of forms for most gender-related admin will be available.

Email carenavigators@clareproject.org.uk to reserve a free space.

Support independent LGBTQ+ journalism

Scene was founded in Brighton in 1993, at a time when news stories about Pride protests were considered radical.

Since then, Scene has remained proudly independent, building a platform for queer voices. Every subscription helps us to report on the stories that matter to LGBTQ+ people across the UK and beyond.

Your support funds our journalists and contributes to Pride Community Foundation’s grant-making and policy work.
