The Sussex Beacon unveils window display to honour 90th birthday of David Raven aka Maisie Trollette

There was great excitement in St James’s Street last month, when local charity the Sussex Beacon‘s shop window was transformed into a birthday present, bearing a stunning, large bow.

The anticipation increased even further, when the one and only David Raven appeared, posing for photos in front of the window. Soon after all was revealed – a full window display in honour of David’s 90th birthday.

The Sussex Beacon said: “We’re enormously grateful to David, the longest serving patron of the Sussex Beacon, for his support and contribution to the Beacon over the course of many years. He was in great form, even giving us an occasional performance in the shop, while enjoying some birthday cake.

“Mr Raven, thank you so much for everything. Happy Birthday and Many Happy Returns!”
