The Rainbow Hub to move to The Ledward Centre

The Rainbow Hub, a local point of contact for LGBTQ+ people, is excited to be moving to Brighton’s new LGBTQ+ community and cultural centre the Ledward Centre, next to Brighton’s Jubilee Library, on Friday, January 7.

The Rainbow Hub’s volunteers are looking forward to welcoming you during its regular opening times: Monday, 12pm – 3pm; Tuesday, 3pm – 6pm; Wednesday, 3pm – 8pm; Thursday, 3pm – 6pm; Friday, 3pm – 8pm; Saturday, 12pm – 3pm; Sunday, 1pm – 3pm.

Named after James Ledward, one of the city’s most prominent supporters of LGBTQ+ rights, the Ledward Centre is a new and exciting space, which will be a lasting tribute to his memory and the huge contributions he made to our entire community.

From the building itself – light, modern and accessible – to the services and cultural activities for which it will be home – the Ledward Centre will live and breathe the values that make the full spectrum of Brighton’s LGBTQ+ communities so confident, vibrant and proud.

Support independent LGBTQ+ journalism

Scene was founded in Brighton in 1993, at a time when news stories about Pride protests were considered radical.

Since then, Scene has remained proudly independent, building a platform for queer voices. Every subscription helps us to report on the stories that matter to LGBTQ+ people across the UK and beyond.

Your support funds our journalists and contributes to Pride Community Foundation’s grant-making and policy work.
