Seahaven Pride returns for its fifth year on Saturday, 30 August, promising a vibrant celebration of LGBTQ+ diversity, inclusion, and community spirit. Held at Martello Fields, the family-friendly festival will run from 12-9pm, welcoming attendees from across the Lewes district and beyond.
Organised as a not-for-profit event, Seahaven Pride aims to foster a safe and inclusive environment for people of all sexualities, genders, races, faiths, and abilities. The festival will feature a stellar line-up of UK tribute artists, local LGBTQ+ performers, drag acts, and live music, alongside a bustling array of food vendors, bars, and community stalls.

Beyond entertainment, Seahaven Pride serves a deeper purpose: to raise awareness of the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals, including discrimination, hate crime, and mental health struggles. The event is designed to combat social exclusion and promote solidarity, with activities and support services tailored to diverse groups - from youth and elders to differently abled individuals.
Organisers are calling on the community for support, both through donations and volunteer efforts. Local businesses are invited to sponsor the event, with opportunities for on-site visibility and recognition. The festival also encourages attendees to share messages of pride and support, helping to build a stronger, more united community.
