Seattle’s own “demon queen” Bosco, known for her standout performances on RuPaul’s Drag Race and All Stars, has announced her engagement to her partner of nearly six years, Blake, in a heartwarming and theatrical moment that delighted fans.

The proposal took place on stage during Bosco’s GrindHaus show in Seattle on Saturday, 18 October. In front of a cheering crowd, Blake got down on one knee, surprising both Bosco and the audience. The 32-year-old drag performer later shared the news on Instagram, posting photos from the night with the caption: “💋 Love you forever Blake.” Blake echoed the sentiment on his own Instagram story, writing, “Get to spend forever with my best friend”.

The couple, who are set to celebrate their sixth anniversary in November, have long been admired by fans for their quiet but enduring relationship. Bosco first rose to fame on season 14 of RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2022, where she placed third. She returned to the franchise for All Stars season 10 in 2025, once again finishing in the top three.

Beyond her performance career, Bosco is also a vocal advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, particularly trans visibility. She publicly came out as trans in 2022, sharing her journey with humour and honesty on social media. “I’m the happiest I’ve ever been,” she wrote, explaining that she uses she/they pronouns and began hormone replacement therapy after filming Drag Race.

Bosco has also spoken out about the difficulties trans performers face when travelling internationally. In a 2025 interview, she highlighted the risks associated with having a male gender marker on her passport, saying, “It’s not ideal and it really, really will gum up the process … I could get detained if we have certain stop-offs and layovers.”

Fans and fellow queens have flooded social media with congratulations, celebrating the couple’s love and the magical moment of the on-stage proposal. As Bosco herself put it, the engagement is “the best thing I could ever ask for.”
