Rose Garden‘s Swap Shop – a fundraiser for Sussex Beacon at Queens Arms Brighton – swept back into town with a vengeance this month, with amazing brand new signage, a glittering set and Rose on top form.
From shoes, to dresses, hats and even a double height wig, there was a huge choice of merchandise to swap or buy.
Two hours flew by, but in that time Swap Shop raised close to £400 for the Sussex Beacon, the local HIV charity.
The Sussex Beacon said: “Huge thanks to Rose, Rupert and his great team at Queens Arms Brighton and everyone who bought and / or contributed items. Without question, Swap Shop’s return was a fabulous success!”
Swap Shop is held on the last Saturday of every month at Queens Arms Brighton, so make sure 31 May (5-7pm) is in the diary.

Scene was founded in Brighton in 1993, at a time when news stories about Pride protests were considered radical. Since then, Scene has remained proudly independent, building a platform for queer voices. Every subscription helps us to report on the stories that matter to LGBTQ+ people across the UK and beyond.
Your support funds our journalists and contributes to Pride Community Foundation’s grant-making and policy work.
