Rose Garden’s Swap Shop raises £500 for Sussex Beacon at Centre Stage Brighton

Local drag queen Rose Garden launched her Swap Shop at gay venue Centre Stage Brighton on Saturday, February 25, raising £500 for local HIV charity the Sussex Beacon.

The Sussex Beacon say: “To say it was quite an eventful couple of hours is a dramatic understatement, with so many glamorous shoes, dresses, hair pieces and so much more on offer! Members of the crowd were in fact throwing money at Rose at one point, such was the level of excitement!

“Speaking of money, we are enormously grateful to Rose, Phil & Paul at Centre Stage Brighton, The Only Ruffles and everyone who bought items and donated money. The event raised more than a massive £500 for the Sussex Beacon, which will help us continue our vital work supporting and caring for people living with HIV in Sussex.”

Rose’s Swap Shop takes place on the last Saturday of every month at Centre Stage, 11-12 Marine Parade, Brighton BN2 1TL.
