Queer Britain, the UK’s first and only LGBTQ+ museum, has announced that Elton John and his husband, David Furnish, have become patrons.

Queer Britain is a museum of British LGBTQ+ history and culture located in Kings Cross, London. It is the first dedicated LGBTQ museum in the UK.

Elton and David said: “It’s a museum for everyone—to learn, understand, and embrace what it means to be LGBTQ+ today. We are both delighted to support Queer Britain as Patrons.”

Queer Britain added: “Visitors to our museum may already know that a deeply moving letter from Elton John is displayed in our gallery. We’re proud to share space with his words and with his ongoing support.

“Thank you both for standing with us!”
