Organisers of Pride in London announced on Instagram they will bid to host World Pride in 2030.

Head of Pride in London, Christopher Joell-Deshields, said the gala would be more than “just a parade”, but would accommodate discussions on topics including LGBTQ+ inclusive education and banning so-called conversion therapy.

Writing on Instagram, Pride in London said: “Exciting news: At this year’s InterPride General Meeting & World Conference in Medellín, Colombia, Pride in London announced our bid to host WorldPride in 2030!

“To our community, all Londoners and allies worldwide, join us on this exciting journey as we work to make London the world’s stage for unity, visibility, and lasting change.”

WorldPride, an event that promotes visibility and awareness of LGBTQ+ issues on an international level, includes parades/marches, festivals, and other activities such as a human rights conference.

Washington DC has been confirmed as hosts of the 2025 edition, while Amsterdam will host the 2026 edition.
