Hundreds of people across the UK, from Brighton to the Scottish Highlands, will Toss Off for charity today, supporting the latest fundraising campaign from HIV and sexual health charity Terrence Higgins Trust (THT).

Sporty Spice and Geordie Shores’ Charlotte are among the celebrities who have pledged to #TossOff for THT. Reaching half a million people already on social media, puns and innuendos achieved much of the engagement.

This fun effort underpins the serious fact that almost 104,000 people in the UK are living with HIV. Money raised today, Pancake Day will go towards Terrence Higgins Trust’s ’ work to support them.

By asking guests to donate £10 each, Terrence Higgins Trust hopes to see thousands raised.

Sonya Trivedy, Executive Director of Fundraising, Terrence Higgins Trust, said: “We are thrilled that hundreds of people have already signed up to host Pancake Day parties.

“If you didn’t make the postal registration, don’t worry you can still be part of the fun by registering online at any stage between now and February 14, and you will have full access to all of the fun on the website.”
