Out For Sport LGBTQ+ sports fair to return to London South Bank University
Out For Sport is like a freshers fair – a DJ will be spinning tunes plus lots of London’s grassroots LGBTQ+ sports and fitness clubs will set out their stall to entice new players.
After two years off, the Out For Sport LGBTQ+ sports fair is to return to London South Bank University on Friday, June 10, free entry but registration preferred.
Out For Sport is like a freshers fair – a DJ will be spinning tunes plus lots of London’s grassroots LGBTQ+ sports and fitness clubs will set out their stall to entice new players. Now with more space, organisers will be using the outside yard too, to ensure easier distancing for the 300+ attendees.
Organisers say: “Are you a beginner? Great! No experience necessary. Loads of the clubs offer opportunities to get you involved. Just want to find an LGBTQ+ inclusive club to play for? There’ll be more than 30 there. Running a grassroots club? Meet your fellow LGBTQ+ inclusive clubs, network, share tips and experience.
“Getting involved in a club is a great way to make new friends in the city, with the added bonus of getting fit. So come along and feel free to bring a friend. Pre-registration is preferred, but you can sign-in on the day too. LSBU is an accessible venue and the event is a safe space for all members of the LGBTQ+ community.”
